Se aborda en el contexto de la conferencia, el papel jugado por la primera generación de médicos preocupados por el problema de la nutrición y las principales conclusiones del encuentro. Señalamos 324 que el Primer Congreso es el inicio de una política de nutrición de los estratos más pobres de la población, lo que será acompañado con la creación del Consejo Nacional de Alimentación en 1937.
